The business school paid for the CDROM subscription that was accessible through our library network. The business school still provides access to Compustat but I believe it can only be used on campus.

Subject: Re: [SERIALST] Compustat question
Our library was paying for Compustat on CDROM for many years, and when the Business School began demanding that we also purchase WRDS, we struck a deal with them. We continue to pay as much as we were for the earlier version of Compustat plus another database that we cancelled, and the Business School pays for WRDS and any price increases. It is an almost equal partnership.

Subject: [SERIALST] Compustat question
I know that this has been asked in the past, but I didn’t need the information then, and I didn’t actually find any recent responses in Serialst. My question is: if you have Compustat at your library/university, does your library pay for it, or does your business school? I would be very grateful to any of you who respond.
Thank you,
Susan
