Dear Subscription Agent

PERGAMON JOURNALS; 1993 VOLUMES TO CARRY THE SISAC BAR CODE ON EACH ISSUE

I am pleased to be able to tell you that the 1993 volumes of our journals
will carry the SISAC bar code on each issue.

1) What does the bar code contain?
The bar code will contain the ISSN, the year, volume & issue number.

2) How do I find it?
The bar code will usually appear on the front cover of each journal
issue, but in some cases if the cover design prevents this it will be
printed on the outside of the back cover.

In a few cases, when the journal cover is printed black on coloured board,
it may be necessary to print the bar code inside on one of the preliminary
pages. In such cases we will notify you of the position in which the bar
code can be found on the cover.

I trust that the inclusion of the SISAC bar code will assist your library
clients with their check-in and control procedures.

Yours faithfully,

Brian Cox, Director
of Journals Business
