Subject: IEEE/IEE Publications Ondisc (ProQuest IPO)

I have just taken over serials here at (Brooklyn) Polytechnic University.
Our journals (paper copy) are kept behind the service desk and are for use
in the library exclusively. We have a space problem with our unbound
IEEE/IEE titles, 1989 to current. I would like to know what other libraries
using IEEE/IEE Publications Ondisc (IPO) do with their paper copies, now
that they have the articles available on disc? Do you spend the money and
bind them as usual? Do you toss them? Do you allow them to circulate? Do you
put them out on the open stacks? We are considering placing the 1989-1993
issues on the shelves (unbound) with the bound journals. Each issue will
have a security sticker. Any thoughts, ideas, or experiences to share would
be greatly appreciated.
