POSITION:       STC Librarian, 12 month, tenure track

ANTICIPATED
STARTING DATE:  September 1, 1995

MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS: Master's Degree in Library Science from an American Library
                Association accredited institution and one year of professional
                library experience required.  Technical library and supervisory
                experience preferred.

                this position and by providing appropriate references.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the supervision of the Director of Learning Resources,
                the Librarian is responsible for performing a full range of
                professional library duties including, but not limited to;
                providing guidance and training for students and faculty in
                locating and using library materials and in library procedures;
                assessing collection needs and make recommendations to the
                Director regarding acquisitions and resources sharing;
                utilizing emerging technology in a library setting; promoting
                library to optimize use and interpreting library policy in all
                situations in the absence of the Director.

MINIMUM SALARY: $36,503 approximate annual, plus excellent state supported
                fringe benefits.
