ALA ALCTS Out-of-Print Discussion Group

Midwinter Conference 1996, San Antonio

Topic: Using Vendors for Automatic OP Searching

Panel: Knut Dorn, Managing Director, Otto Harrassowitz Booksellers
Charles Wittenberg, Director of Approval Services, Blackwell North America
A representative from Midwest Library Services

Many In-Print Vendors also provide OP searching services. A library can set
up a profile permitting the vendor to begin searching the OP market as soon
as it is discovered the title is OP. The vendor can then supply the title
automatically based on the library's profile.
