SURVIVING IN THE TRENCHES:
MANAGING DIFFICULT PATRONS

 The Continuing Education Committee of ACRL New England Chapter will
sponsor a program "Surviving in the Trenches: Coping with Difficult
Patrons" on Tuesday, February 27, at Bentley College in Waltham, MA.
A. J. Anderson, Professor of Library and Information Science at
Simmons College, and author of the  "How Do You Manage" column in
_Library Journal_ will be the presenter.  The workshop is aimed at all
levels of library staff who deal with the public. Special attention
will be paid to situations where one's supervisor is not present.

20.  The last day to cancel and receive a refund will be February 21.

* If Bentley cancels classes on February 27, the program will be
postponed until Tuesday, March 5. Directions and a map will be sent to
