Subject: Carpal tunnel and serials work

Anne Grady had previously asked about carpal tunnel and serials work.
Please see v.40:no.1 (1996:Jan) issue of Library Resources
& Technical Services for an article on page 84 entitled,
"Ergonomics Programs and Activities in research Libraries"
by Susan Cook Summer.

The serials checkin person in our library was experiencing
quite a bit of pain due to the placement of her keyboard. We
purchased a new workstation for her and a chair with several
adjustment choices. It helped immensely and her pain went
away.
