I'm interested in finding out how many libraries use tie-binders (aka
multibinders) for their periodicals and other materials and the
reasons why.
It's been my experience that many people don't know what tie-binders
are, so if you're curious, read on. Tie-binding requires drilling
holes in the left margin and attaching front and back boards by
inserting a cord through the holes. We use them in place of pam
boxes.
I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone concerning this. I'd also
like to know your feelings about their effectiveness as a binding
treatment.
Thanks.
