Email list hosting service & mailing list manager

SERIALST Hiatus Birdie MacLennan 22 Dec 1999 19:39 UTC

Dear SERIALST subscribers:

SERIALST will take a break over the forthcoming Christmas weekend. We
will not post messages starting Friday afternoon (U.S. Eastern Standard
Time), December 24 through Tuesday, December 28. We will resume posting
messages (presuming some are received) on Wednesday, December 29.

A small plea and friendly word of advice to those of you with automated
email messages telling people you will be out of the office : These
messages often bounce back to listowners and to authors of SERIALST
messages. If you could configure your email system so as *not* to send
these automated replies to listserv mail, or (perhaps more simply) just
set your SERIALST subscription to NOMAIL, that would solve the problem of
us receiving them everytime a message is posted to the list.

For information on changing your subscription settings to NOMAIL, etc. see
the SERIALST home page at: http://www.uvm.edu/~bmaclenn/serialst.html
This web page contains information for most of the generic subscription
commands for SERIALST so that you may manage your SERIALST subscription
automatically through the list server.

Best wishes during this last week of the millennium, -- Birdie
