Sounds reasonable to me. It's "just" a combo of a rebreather (which
we've had since at least WWII) with an oxygen generator.

There were WWII setups that were supposed to be good for a number of
hours underwater with some very small oxygen tanks.

Rebreathers were notorious for giving you CO2 poisoning or other
problems if thoings went wrong. I understand they've improved a lot.

I have some questions I'd love to ask about bits of it, but it sounds
fairly plausible.
