In Striker, you could build armour by side which is how we do it
today... many games like to assume a uniform armour, but before flying
tanks, it makes more sense to present your heaviest armour to the enemy
for an MBT - I think the ratios of front-sides-back, according to an AT
weapon designer I know, are usually 10/7/4 or thereabouts with the back
deck also being 4, the front of the turret 10, sides 7 and undersides at
one point were about 2, but have been upgrade to a 4 or 5 for more mine
resistance. That's a generalization but it shows how what happens when
geography constrains battles and you can turn to face  your foe who
isn't flying.

That ratio would be about right for an APC, armoured car, or light tank.
A MBT would have similar ratios except on the front which might be '100'
or more on that scale. That's why the latest M1 is very, very hard to
penetrate from the front, but a not very modern RPG-7 can penetrate it
from the side with a decent hit.
