Rather than a long backstory how this question came up, I'll just skip
to the punchline:

How do grav vehicles "steer" and/or decelerate?

By my understanding, grav vehicles counteract gravity with some form of
"thrust", so I get how they can float/fly.  But when it comes to turning
or stopping, what do they do?
