I know how to hunt for food, thanks. I don't know what most of the local
native edible plants are though, so I'd have to learn that, and fast.
The thing is, I *know* I'm better off now than I would be in a
hunter-gatherer society, even one on good land (i.e. not thrown into the
areas the farmers and herders can't use), because I get pretty serious
hayfever without modern medication. Summer is *hell* without it,
especially in a non-urban area, and I'd be unable to hunt on top of that
(still able to trap and gather, slowly, mind). No thanks - I like being
able to think clearly and breathe at night.
