Evyn, Jim,

How would Evyn's comments on wildly-divergent watch schedules interact
with whether the (presumably Third) Imperial Navy in that PBEM takes
after more a Commonwealth model, where (frinstance) warfare and
engineering officers are whole different careers with (I think) little
lateral movement between them, or the USN's more unrestricted model?
