IIRC, TNS mentioned that drop tanks where being used introduced by one of
the big Imperial Corporations and I missed the bit about X-Boats were going
be be fitted with them.

Drop tanks were also mentioned in early TNS dispatches.

The Imperium was going to upgrade the xBoat net to J6 by installing new
jDrives on the xBoats & using droptanks.
