We had the same problem.  I believe that it was just a misprint,
because issue 43 is also listed as the issue number for October 22,
2001.

The Oct 8 issue was vol.72 no.41.
Our Oct 15 issue said no.43, but so did the Oct. 22 issue, so instead of
having two no.43s, we went back and changed the Oct 15 issue record to
show
no.42, since we felt it was just a publisher numbering error.

Oct 22 - #43
Oct 29 -#44

Did you receive Advertising Age vol.72 no.42 2001?We have no.41 dated
Oct.8 2001, and no.43 dated Oct.15 2001, which means that according to
the dates nothing is missing. But still no.42 has never been received.
Was it published as a special/additional  number, or is it a mistake in
the numbering of the issues? I would very much appreciate your
