Vince-

We use III (Innovative). We have a bibliographic record for all our
journals. We can create item records and individual issues and suppress
them from the public OPAC view. We only barcode when we circulate them. We
just attach the item record to the bib record in the system.

When I worked at Northwestern University Medical Library years ago and
used NOTIS, we barcoded every issue!
