Re: Business Mexico (Mexico City, Mexico : 1991)

Thank you for everyone who replied to my e-mail about BUSINESS
MEXICO. It was great to get expert opinions on a problem that was
bothering me. As to what I chose to do:
I took the advice of several people who agreed with:
* changing the 362 to end the first run of numbers and then add "[new
series]" for the 2nd numbering
* Added a note to explain numbering change.
* Added a note about absorbing MEXICO UPATE.
* Added a 780 05 to link to the absorbed title.
* Updated the subject headings to include:
> 651 0 Mexico $x Economic conditions $y 1994- $v Periodicals.
> 651 0 Mexico $x Economic conditions $y 1982-1994 $v Periodicals.
and I did NOT add a uniform title.
I am not sending in a change request to LC. I agree that they should
not go back and fix everything that would be cataloged differently if
it were done today. However in our local catalog, we can adjust the
cataloging for what works best with out patrons.
Thanks again,
Mitch
