Technical Services Librarian:  Faculty position to provide leadership in
technical services and collection development areas. Primary
responsibilities include managing acquisitions, serials, and integrated
online library system (SIRSI), lead coordination of collection development;
review of approval profiles, and evaluation and assessment of collections.
This position directly supervises 2 FTE technical services staff, serves as
a member of the library management team, and as liaison to assigned academic
programs.

 Required qualifications:  ALA accredited MLIS or equivalent degree,
documented supervisory experience, library experience in an academic
setting, demonstrated knowledge of ILS technical services modules, evidence
of familiarity with current collection development practice, and
demonstrated knowledge of basic cataloging standards and practices.

 Preferred qualifications:  Evidence of commitment to service excellence;
reference experience in an academic library, demonstrated ability to work
creatively and collaboratively with colleagues and library users. Working
knowledge of library consortia, knowledge of emerging trends and
technologies in technical services, and evidence of comfort and facility in
managing a collection with a wide range of formats, and excellent oral,
written, and interpersonal communication skills.

 To be recommended for promotion and/or tenure, library faculty must
demonstrate proficiency in librarianship, scholarship of teaching/learning,
and university/public service. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
