Re: Budget Lines for Serials, Databases, and other Electronic Resources Koveleskie, Judith 03 Dec 2009 19:11 UTC

We have separate budget lines for print and online. It helps in doing cost comparisons. We do combine individual subscriptions and databases in the online category and haven't had a problem with it. I suppose it depends on the needs of you individual institution.

Subject: [SERIALST] Budget Lines for Serials, Databases, and other Electronic Resources

Hello,

We are restricting our budget, and I have a question for you. Does anyone combine the budget lines for serials and databases into one category such as continuing resources, or do you separate it out? What do you find are the benefits and drawback for each?

Thank you.
