HEAD, SERIALS CONTROL DEPARTMENT
RESPONSIBILITIES: Plans, coordinates, manages and directs the activities
of the Serials Control Department. Responsibilities include collection
development, ordering, check-in, binding and resolution of bibliographic
and fulfillment problems; initial receipt and processing of government
documents; physical processing and binding of all library materials; and
management of serials acquisitions and control. Supervision of one
library technical assistant, seven library assistants, and several student
QUALIFICATIONS: ALA-accredited MLS; minimum of 3-5 years managerial
experience including experience with serials acquisitions and/or control.
Working experience with an integrated library system; excellent written
and oral communication skills. U.S. citizenship or permanent residency.
BENEFITS: 21 days vacation per year; 12 observed holidays; group health

status, non-tenured position.
