As regards the online discussion of year end duplicates, Marilyn Geller
and I wanted to clarify one point made in a message concerning BACKSERV,
the BACK Issues and Serials Exchange SERVice.  As stated, this is a
relatively new list specifically for the informal exchange of duplicate
issues among libraries.  The list covers all subject areas, and there has
indeed been a very high concentration in the sciences and medicine.  To
