In conjuction with 13 academic libraries in North Americ= a and almost 30 elsewhere in the world, we are developing a system to provi= de searching and retrieval of electronic journals from ten publishers participating in the project (almost 300 e-journal titles). Indexed a= re the headers from the publishers, which includes author, title and abstrac= t fields. The full articles are available in PDF or other formats (vari= es by publisher), delivered either through a viewer on the user's workstati= on or via e-mail. We expect to make this service available to other librari= es beginning in January 1997, with many more publishers making their publications available. A copy of a recent press release appears bel= ow. Please contact me directly if you would like more information.
