All inquiries should be addressed to Library of Michigan, Human Resources, 717 West Allegan, P.O.Box 30007, Lansing, MI 48909 ACQUISITIONS, DOCUMENTS, AND SERIALS (ADS) The Collection Management Supervisor acts as Team Leader with supervisory and managerial responsibilities for the Library's acquisitions, documents, serials receiving, and bindery. Management of the ADS team in these areas also includes documents outreach for the federal and state documents repository programs. Provides leadership in planning, setting priorities, and coordinating the daily activities of the various team areas, using Innovative Interfaces, Inc. in a highly technical and exciting environment. The Library has a collection of 10,000+ serials in various formats, and distributes over 70,000 Michigan documents per year. The team includes both librarians and non-librarians at various levels. The delivery of quality service to Library users in an environment of participative team management is a Library-wide shared value. Weekend and evening hours may be required. The job requires the completion of an MLS from an ALA accredited institution; Min. of five years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience as a professional librarian in an academic, public, or state government library. Experience in library automation systems. Two years experience as a manager in an area of technical services. Two years experience in acquisitions. Experience in state or federal documents desired. Knowledge of the book trade and publishing trends desired. Experience in Innovative Interfaces acquisitions and serials desired. Strong interpersonal leadership skills, and a knowledge of participative or team management desired $16.17-$23.79 per hour (approx. $33,634-$49,483 annual), plus excellent benefits.
