Newspapers on microfilm Sherry Petry 01 Jun 1999 18:18 UTC

We are considering obtaining microfilm for a couple newspapers,
particularly the Los Angeles Times. The UMI catalog lists a library
edition and a record edition. Our UMI rep says the library edition does
not include advertising and the classifieds.

Can someone advise me whether there are other distinctions we need to know
about? We want to be able to access the contents via the paper's website
as well as UMI's Newspaper Abstracts. The record edition costs twice as
much as the library edition.
