Your prompt reminded me of an old photo I took bacxk in 2003. I was
just walking along in the warehouse district (going from my storage
locker to a Office Depot a few blocks away when I spotted something
on the sidewalk.

Attached is the photo.

It wasn't spray paint, there was a definite thickness to it. Sort of
like shaving cream from a can that hadn't really foamed much.

Never figured out what it was, but it's a nice puzzle to throw at
players. Red herring or not.
