Honestly, reflec has always been a bit suspect and/or silly - the result
of people expecting weapons-grade lasers to believe like their
low-power, visible spectrum science lab or demonstration versions.
You're not going to stop, or bounce, something like that with a hand
mirror or shiny breastplate; at best, it'll act like ablative armor.
More likely it'll blow a slightly smaller hole in you while the reflec
(if worn alone or as the top layer) scatters enough light to dazzle
anyone with the misfortune to be looking in your direction.
