I'm not sure there'd be that many bugs anyway. If Grandfather was at all
careful, he'd have cleaned and quarantined and cleaned his 'colonists'
again before letting them anywhere near a new world. Many of the
populations he seeded were genetically engineered, so it wasn't like he
just grabbed a bunch of people and dumped them somewhere willy-nilly.

That means any bugs would be from mutated skin and gut flora, any
viruses that managed to insert their entire genome into our DNA (and
avoided any attempts GF may have made to remove them), and so on. Not
the sort of things likely to evolve into lethal pandemic causing bugs.
