Oh, I'm not (intentionally) suggesting that my examples are either
exhaustive or exclusive; the idea here is simply to plant the idea in
the head of the reader who is going to be doing culture-building. The
examples I give are intended to suggest starting points for one's own
research; even if an idea is adapted to a built culture, the builder is
going to need to have done his/her own research with the aim of
incorporating the idea in a way that "feels organic", rather than just a
collection of "cool" culture ideas grafted together with no rhyme or
reason.
