I still recall a bit from the old TML PbeM game, where my character got
sent to sickbay after taking a hit when a boarder teleported onto the
bridge and sprayed it with laser rifle fire.  Poor guy got his vacc suit
helmet partially melted to one side of his face.  Full thickness burns, etc.

The relevant bit was how casually the attending medic talked of
replacing the damaged eye with a pre-cultured one from the onboard
tissue bank.  (The character was compatible and had no allergies, so
they didn't have to grow one special for him.)
