It makes one wonder what societal trauma would be be required to make such drastic changes to a society in the space of a lifespan or two. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Some years back PBS aired a really good 2 hour documentary detailing the history of Sparta w/ particular emphasis on the 'Great Man' that set up the 'new' system & also the historical results of all that. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
