Yes, I agree with the 'it makes a statement' aspect. OTOH, if you are doing
business, then being out of touch for a week very frequently (while you're in
Jump) is sub-optimal.

Yes, good point. I am reminded of Hotblack Desiato in HHGttG (who is
spending a year dead for tax reasons). When I built MTU I put in some
societal feedback loops such that if you're rich and *not* a noble (you
can buy a title with cold hard cash) then people assume that you're up to
something and so look down on you. And if you *are* a noble then certain
behaviours are expected, one of these being *not* cheating (too much) on
your taxes. (Is this realistic? Well, maybe if you're a Vilani, but not
so much if you're Solomani. YMMV.)

All true. Of course a vehicle has many of the same problems and some extras
because it has engines. But at least if a house breaks catastrophically then
you still have air to breathe.
